Incredibly Cool Rotel RM-5010 Turntable/Amp/Radio Combo - Simply Stunning!
Unquestionably the coolest 3-in-1 system I've seen in a LOOONG while, this stunning Rotel RM-5010 turntable/radio/tape deck combo is beautifully presented, and has just been serviced by my wonderful turntable tech.
He's done a ton of work on it, including the following in case it means anything to you: Replaced fuses, lubricated platter bearing, fitted correct platter, lubricated all potentiometers and switches, cleaned plinth, replaced power plug and display bulbs. Replaced 4700pF mains capacitors and belts on cassette deck. Sanded pinch roller, cleaned and demagnetised heads. Set speed. Polished dustcover.
This lovely unit puts out a respectable vintage 30 watts into a 4 ohms load; weighs in at 17.5 kg; and has a footprint of 650 x 170 x 430 mm.
Radio is clear as a bell without even attaching an aerial; turntable is working fabulously with a new stylus; tapedeck sound pretty good considering its vintage too.
This would make a stunning present to someone having a significant birthday!
I believe it should be possible to connect other devices like a bluetooth streamer via the Tape Monitor DIN plug on the back...I'll give it a go when I find the right cable and report back on my success.
This is a great sounding bit of kit, that will add instant vintage kudos to any room lucky enough to host it.
