Like Bass? These bad-boy Yamaha NS-690II deliver it big time!
These sound incredible. All speakers working well.
Please note the following mainly cosmetic issues:
Some age-related cosmetic staining of the woofers, but they are working fantastic with no holes or rips and the rubber surrounds seem in good condition
Cabinets have age-related wear and tear as per photos...with some noticeable flaking of the board on the rear sides and back, as per photos. Restore if you want, or just keep 'em as is...and enjoy the sound as you can't see this from the front in any case.
Control pots could do with a clean, as there's a bit of crackling as you adjust them. One of the treble dials feels a little loose, but theh control works fine. The mid control dials are just sitting in position in these photos...I accidentally left them sitting upside-down in the windowsill in the sun and the plastic shafts on the back of them drooped a bit leaving them out of alignment by about 5 degrees. I'll put them in the sun again and see if they can be reformed so they can be reattached to the mid control shafts. Not a biggie really....the mid balance can still easily be adjusted by turning the mid control shaft, and the dials can always cosmetically sit over the top, held in place with a bit of bluetack in need - with no-one the wiser.
