Phenomenal Philips 586 Active Motional Feedback Speakers - Awesome Units!
Rare as hens teeth, you're looking at Philips' famous AH 586 "Motional Feedback" active speakers. "What does 'Motional Feedback' mean, what are 'active speakers', and why should I care?" I hear you say. (I have good ears). Fair question! Active speakers mean speakers that have an amplifier built in. Audiophiles love 'em for reasons I won't bore you with, and you'll love them because you get and amp and speakers for the price of a pair of great speakers!
Here's some great reading on the series in general that covers the 'motional' bit: https://www.hifinews.com/content/philips-ah585-loudspeaker https://www.inner-magazines.com/audiophilia/philips-rh-545-studio/
...and an article on the Motional Feedback design these use. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motional_Feedback
These are working perfectly. These have quite a dedicated - perhaps even cult - following overseas...just check out this website for instance: https://mfbfreaks.com/bezoek-onze-showroom/
These are amongst the coolest speakers I have in my collection...and I've got to downsize that collection as much as you have to upsize yours. So grab yourself something that will pleasure your ears and p*ss off your jealous audiophile friends.
